Maintenance, Operations & Transportation

Our maintenance and operations staff members keep our grounds clean and in working order. Whether we have a leak in the roof or a squeak in our doors, there’s no job too big or too small for our El Tejon USD operations crew.

And, when it comes to getting our students where they need to go, we can’t forget our bus drivers and transportation staff. They stay up-to-date on required licensing and certifications so you can keep your mind at ease—safety is our priority!

Bus Rules

Riding the bus is a privilege, not a right. We expect our students to be kind and courteous to drivers and others on the bus at all times.

  • Remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop and the doors open.
  • Keep the aisles clear at all times.
  • Do not speak to or distract the driver while the bus is in motion. Indoor voices, please!
  • Keep your hands (and feet) to yourselves (and inside the bus) at all times.
  • Do not open windows without the driver’s permission. Never throw anything out a window. Wait to toss trash in the proper container until you arrive at home or at school.
  • Do not touch emergency exits, exit controls, or any other bus safety equipment, except in the event of an emergency.
  • Do not eat or drink on the bus, though we encourage drinking water—as long as it is kept in a container with a lid.
  • Always be kind and considerate—bus drivers will not tolerate bullying, vulgar language, or disruptions of any kind.
