Welcome to El Tejon USD Health Services. We care about the health of every individual who walks through our doors. Because of this, we strive to provide the most updated health resources available. Sick Child Policy
The last thing we like to hear is that one of our students is sick. With that in mind, we also don’t want to expose others in our education community to any illness, no matter how mild or severe. Please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms within 24 hours of coming to school:
- Rash or skin eruptions
- Fever over 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit Please do not give your child a fever reducer and send them to school. Keep them home and let them rest.
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Untreated pink eye
- Lice
- Persistent, mucus-related cough
If your child must miss school due to illness, please send them back to school with a note explaining the reason when they return. Thank you for understanding and cooperation.
